Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic floor dysfunction occurs when you are unable to control the muscles of the pelvic floor, leading to incomplete bowel movements, or even the inability to have bowel movements at all. Symptoms include constipation, frequent urination, painful urination and unexplained lower back pain. For women, pain during intercourse is also common.
Treatment options for pelvic floor dysfunction include physical therapy, medication and in certain cases, surgery.
