Rectocele and Cystocele Repair
In some cases, it may be necessary to surgically repair the muscles surrounding the organs of the pelvic floor. These muscles may push into the vagina causing discomfort. If non-surgical treatments, such as Kegel exercises, have proven ineffective, your doctor may reccomend that you undergo a procedure to repair issues caused by rectoceles and/or cystoceles.
This procedure requires a hospital stay of up to a week, and catheterization. The procedure may help with bowel control and pelvic discomfort.
